Having just completed my 3rd academic semester, I'm beginning to experience the partiality to post a succinct update each time I go MIA for awhile. Specifically, posts regarding recently. I'm really unsure as to where I stand in terms of my photos, or in other words, how much effort should really be devoted to shooting and editing as compared to other things. Each time I return to campus, I find less of a reason to go out to shoot, compelling me with less of a reason to edit, as these two aspects are paralleled by one another (might also be credited to the lack of a community surrounding these kinds of things; post-processing/shooting and whatnot). The anticipation to return to the Bay really does fuel an idiosyncratic wanderlust, but that doesn't happen much unless I am to divert focus completely to breaks alone. I've felt less driven to go out to shoot photos for the sake of shooting, but rather have been wanting to shoot to seek an aspect of community that may share this same focus. Been looking for inspiration specifically in portraits, which may very well be the direction that I see my photos heading.
